City approves $5.6 million in incentives for new Downtown Ocala hotel, including 225 spaces in 2nd parking garage

The Ocala City Council has approved over $5.6 million in incentives for a new hotel under construction in downtown, including 225 reserved spaces in the city’s new parking garage, a grant worth $500,000, and a waiver of nearly $200,000 in impact and building permit fees.

During its regular meeting on Tuesday evening, Ocala City Council members voted unanimously to approve a redevelopment agreement for the Downtown Ocala Marriott AC Hotel.
