Three people in custody after chase that ended on South Clinton Avenue

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police say reports of an armed carjacking led to a chase on Wednesday morning that ended on South Clinton Avenue.

RPD began investigating the reported carjacking at North Clinton Avenue and Ward Street just after 3:45 a.m. Officers say they spotted the stolen car nearby and tried to pull it over. They say the car refused to stop, leading to a chase.

According to RPD, the car stopped facing the wrong way on South Clinton Avenue and the people inside ran. Officers chased down three people, ages 17, 19, and 20. RPD says they’re still investigating and charges are still being determined…
