Savannah, Georgia historic home, built in 1820, saved from being razed, and later became a museum

On September 22, 1972, this historic home made its place on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Known as the Isaiah Davenport House at 324 East State Street in Savannah, Georgia (Chatham County), it was built in 1820. Since 1963, the house has been operating as a historic house museum by the Historic Savannah Foundation.
