WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Mat and Spring John are foster and adoptive parents as well as child advocates.
The couple has had incredible experiences taking in children with medical needs. They shared with Forever Family the importance of bringing forth the stories of children and teens in foster care as well as the support parents receive through local organizations like 4Kids.
“Jay, our son. He lived in a hospital shelter, so we introduced him to grass, to having toys,” explains Spring John. “What a family, a home does, is keep them healthy, safe, and happy. Medical foster parents go through additional training to learn how to care for kids with special needs.”…
