FALL RIVER, Mass. (WWLP) – Hundreds of Massachusetts law enforcement officials conducted a narcotics investigation that resulted in the arrest of 19 people, the seizure of cocaine, fentanyl, and over 30 firearms.
In a news release by the Massachusetts State Police, the investigation began in March involving a drug trafficking organization distributing fentanyl and cocaine in the Taunton and Fall River areas. The suspects were identified as Ramon Nieves and his wife, Esther Nieves, as suspected drug suppliers.

During the investigation, a controlled purchase of fentanyl was made, and officers conducted a motor vehicle stop of a customer, which resulted in the seizure of trafficking amounts of fentanyl and cocaine.
On April 15, search warrants were conducted by hundreds of law enforcement officials for twenty locations, fourteen cell phones, and ten vehicles. This led to the arrest of 18 individuals, the seizure of over 2,360 grams of cocaine, 1,365 grams of fentanyl, 33 firearms, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, high-capacity magazines, and $109,355…
