WASHINGTON — The toddler years are usually spent discovering the new world that has been presented. But in some cases, it’s spent discovering the new world, but also taking on some battles.
TJ is 4 years old, residing in D.C.’s Shaw neighborhood. He was diagnosed on Jan. 23, 2025 with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. It’s a rare blood cancer that affects the development of white blood cells that are made in the bone marrow of the soft inner part of the bone, according to Leukemia Research Foundation.
However, TJ and his family is on a quest to win Toddler of the Year, the contest raises money for Toys for Tots and the winner gets a $25,000 cash prize. Voters can use TJ’s link to vote on Facebook or make a tax deductible donation to Toys for Tots…
