Amarillo Police Hosting Monthly Forums at Local Libraries

The Amarillo Police Department is doing a lot to reach out to the community right now. Of course, there’s the survey that is out regarding the qualities and qualifications we, the people, would like to see in our next police chief.

Now, the Community Engagement Unit is going to be hosting a monthly forum where they hope to connect with the residents of Amarillo. If you want to be in the know, and have questions you’d like answered, these forums would be a great way to accomplish that.

Forums Will Share Crime Stats and Services

These monthly forums will be held at the different libraries across Amarillo. Crime stats for Amarillo will be discussed, and there will be an opportunity for you to ask any questions you might have. They will also go over services that are available to aid citizens.

The first of these monthly forums is coming up in September. It will be held on Monday, September 23, at the Downtown Central Branch Library. The forum will last from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Evening Meetings Designed for Accessibility

The best thing about these forums is that they aren’t scheduled for the middle of the workday when no one can attend them. They’re scheduled in the evening and don’t take up too much time…
