Montgomery County clears out large homeless encampment near The Woodlands

A crew of Montgomery County jail inmates on Tuesday cleared out what remained of a large homeless encampment at a property that county officials said is owned by Mercedez-Benz of The Woodlands.

Residents of the nearby Harpers Landing neighborhood had alerted officials to the encampment located near South Trade Center Boulevard, which included some structures and piles of trash, according to Precinct 4 Commissioner Matt Gray’s office and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, which supervised the cleanup crew.
