550 people arrested in 13 days in DC, quarter of arrests listed as ‘other’

WASHINGTON (7News) — As of Wednesday, hundreds of arrests have been made across the District.

7News spoke to the federal agency running the operation. Any arrest made during this federal enforcement falls under the operation’s arrest totals.

No matter who makes the arrest, or even if the arrest just so happens to occur in this timeframe. 7News went through the first court appearances after someone is arrested, the White House arrest numbers, and just got the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) arrest numbers to see if the arrests happening are impacting crime.

Here’s the math

The White House shared with 7News that since Aug. 7, there have been a total of 550 arrests in the District. The Marshals showed 225 arrests were of alleged undocumented immigrants, and out of the total arrests, three were alleged gang members. That leaves 322 arrests…
