Police remind drivers to slow down in school zones as kids return from summer break

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — With school back in session, travelers should plan for a longer commute time. The Asheville Police Department says they see plenty of people forget that school is back from summer and speed right through active school zones.

As a reminder, school zones have reduced speeds between the hours of 6–8 a.m. and 2–4 p.m. However, these times vary by school.
