Puppies Trapped in Sweltering Heat
On a scorching summer afternoon in Lee County, Florida, neighbors grew increasingly alarmed by the sound of whining and crying coming from a nearby garage. The noise persisted throughout the day, and given the punishing heat, they feared something was terribly wrong.
Their instincts proved correct. When Lee County deputies arrived at the home, they discovered a horrifying scene: 13 puppies crammed inside a filthy garage with no food, no water, and no ventilation. The official temperature inside the space was recorded at 104 degrees Fahrenheit.
