CLEVELAND (WJW) — Anchor Wayne Dawson offered an update on his cancer journey in a new video released to FOX 8 on Wednesday.
Speaking to the camera from the Cleveland Clinic, Dawson explained he had some scans done 10 days ago that came back negative and showed “no sign of any cancer.”
Dawson, who just earned his master’s degree, said the next step is reconstruction, surgery on his chin and teeth.

“I’ve come this far by faith, but also come this far by the power of prayer. I wanted to let you know I love you so much and to keep the prayers coming,” he said.
He also said he may be back on air by October: “We’ll see, I’ll let you know, I’ll keep you posted,” he said.
