COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Two people are in custody after officers with the Columbus Police Department recovered a stolen classic car.
The Columbus Police Department’s Property Crimes Unit says it recovered a stolen 1973 Nissan Datsun 240SX and arrested suspects Ashley Herring and David Parr.
According to CPD, on July 23, a vehicle was reported stolen from a home on 17th Avenue, as the victim of the incident says the car held sentimental value because it once belonged to his father.
An investigation revealed Herring and Parr as suspects with Herring being taken into custody on July 24. A search for her phone revealed that she and Parr sold the vehicle in Marietta, Georgia, using a forged bill of sale and the identity of Herring’s dead mother…
