Last-minute preps for Tall Ships Erie begin, Brig Niagara noticeably missing from lineup

Tall Ships Erie 2025 is set to begin on Thursday with nine vessels participating, although the U.S. Brig Niagara will be absent due to repairs.

The festival will feature a parade of sail on Thursday afternoon. This year, two new ships from Massachusetts, the Ernestina Morrissey and the Liberty Clipper, will join the event. The absence of the U.S. Brig Niagara, a significant draw in previous years, is due to critical repairs being conducted in Maine.
