Hayward police released a video on Wednesday showing the chaotic foot chase and eventual arrest of a man who died nine days after paramedics allegedly jabbed him with a controversial sedative.
Police said the Alameda County Coroner’s Office determined Nathan Hoang, 41, died from a lack of oxygen following a heart attack brought on by an enlarged heart, methamphetamine toxicity and stress from physical exertion.
The video did not mention allegations made in court records that a paramedic jabbed Hoang with a powerful sedative typically used on surgery patients, midazolam, which has also led to a number of avoidable police custody deaths, according to an Associated Press investigation last year…
