FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. — Parents and teachers in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools said they were still emotional Wednesday after the school board approved a reduction in force plan that cuts hundreds of jobs in the district. Nearly 160 of these cuts will be Exceptional Children’s teachers and teaching assistants.
The board voted 6-3 Tuesday night in favor of the plan, which drew hudnreds of parents, teachers and community members to the education building to voice concerns about how the cuts will affect students and staff.
