Oakland Police Nab Suspect in East Oakland with Cache of Drugs, Encourage Public Assistance in Fighting Crime

The Oakland Police Department (OPD) has arrested a person in connection with a drug dealing investigation in East Oakland, with the incident occurring on Sunday. As stated in a report shared by the OPD, during a routine patrol, officers observed an individual who was suspected of illicit drug sales. This individual, whose identity has not been disclosed, was found in possession of cash along with substantial amounts of narcotics believed to be marijuana, crystal methamphetamine, and MDMA “ecstasy.”

With East Oakland being the scene, the suspect was taken into custody on a litany of charges associated with the drugs. Representative of OPD’s vow to combat drug-related crime and maintain community safety, this arrest serves as the latest example of their ongoing efforts.
