Hiker dies from snakebite in Tennessee state park

A hiker last week died from a snakebite in the Savage Gulf State Park in Grundy County.

According to media reports, park officials responded to a call for help, and the bitten hiker was discovered a half-mile from the trailhead. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.
