State of the City: Dyer says Orlando’s ‘common bond’ sets it apart

ORLANDO, Fla. — Starting off by marking a major milestone hit by the City Beautiful this year, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer spent time Tuesday talking about the things that make the city special in his 2025 State of the City address at The Plaza Live.

“This year, we’re celebrating Orlando’s 150th birthday, and if there’s one word that embodies our history, it’s reinvention,” he said. “Harvesting the power of reinvention, generation after generation, is what makes Orlando different and special.”
