This week’s stormy weather is being blamed for a water main break in The Villages.
The Sumter County Public Works Department has announced the partial closure of Duncan Drive and Irwin Way in the Village of Virginia Trace following a violent lightning storm and heavy rain which occurred Monday night. Public Works has been actively coordinating with Jacobs to complete the necessary repairs and reopen the roadway as soon as possible. Motorists are urged to avoid Duncan Drive and Irwin Way when possible and to use caution when traveling near the work zone.
