A longtime family owned Sacramento-area retailer is preparing to turn out the lights for good. Beck’s Furniture & Sleep, the family-owned company that has anchored the region’s home furnishings market for more than 50 years, announced this week it will permanently close its Rancho Cordova store.
Signs have gone up at the longtime showroom at 11840 Folsom Boulevard, signaling the end of one of Northern California’s most recognizable furniture retailers. President and CEO Stacia Beckinger, whose family has run the business for generations, said the decision was made to retire after decades of operating the store.
