Manzana again delays Sonoma County exit

Manzana Products Co. Inc. again has extended the timeline for shutting down its long-running apple processing plant in west Sonoma County.

The 103-year-old Sonoma County producer of organic apple juice, sauce and cider vinegar announced Wednesday that tariffs, supply chain challenges and the complexity of phasing in new equipment at its Sunnyside, Washington, facility have pushed back the transition schedule to 2027.

“We anticipate operations in Sebastopol to continue as normal until May 2026. After that, certain production and office positions will be phased out as the transition progresses in 2026 into 2027,” said Andy Kay, CEO, in a statement. “We now expect to end all production packing lines in Sebastopol at the end of (the first quarter of) 2027, with final shipping of finished goods continuing into the fall months before full site closure.”…
