BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – LSU is over capacity again this year, having to temporarily house 170 incoming freshmen and upperclassmen at the LSU Lod Cook Hotel and the Ion Apartments. Some students say they moved into the Ion to find they were not alone, claiming their places had roaches and mice.

“Everywhere I’ve heard, ‘Oh, yeah, I knew this was be Ion when I seen it,’ or ‘everyone comes, like I knew this was Ion.’ Like, that’s so sad. Like it should be like girl, move to the Ion, not get out,” Jessica Livingston said.

Livingston lives at the Ion, a place LSU has put 100 students after they ran out of on-campus housing. She says since recently moving in, she has seen TikToks with students and their parents claiming some of the units at the Ion have a bug and rodent problem.

When she moved in, she made a TikTok of her own, too…
