Luxemburg residents observe in awe as 700,000 pound St. Mary’s Parish House gets relocated

LUXEMBURG, Wis. (WFRV) – It’s certainly not a sight you see every day, and Luxemburg residents of all ages stood outside and watched in awe as about 350 tons of plywood, brick and mortar cruised down the street to its new location.

The nearly 700,000-pound St. Mary’s Parish House in Luxemburg slowly made its way down Church Street as community members lined the road, curiously observing the home’s three-mile journey to a new location.
