UNL’s Midwest Roadside Safety Facility hosts driving tests to research ‘off-road’ crash factors

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Midwest Roadside Safety Facility is all about keeping motorists safe by testing the limits of vehicles and road barriers, something they continued to work on Wednesday when they conducted test driving for a research project.

Forty drivers, a mix of professionals and UNL students, are testing the limits of their vehicles without crashing them on a road course at the Lincoln Airport set up by Midwest Roadside Safety Facility.
