Fairly low storm chances for the rest of Wednesday

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – After a weak frontal boundary moved through on Wednesday afternoon, temperatures have been cooler across the region in the upper 80s and low 90s.

Additional shower and thunderstorm development is minimal for the rest of the evening, but we have seen very isolated activity over the central portion of the viewing area. This activity is expected to diminish by sunset.

As we make our way into the rest of the evening and into Thursday, forecast models are showing a large dry air mass beginning to take over in the next 24 hours.
