DC man sentenced to nine years for armed carjacking spree involving six victims: Officials

WASHINGTON (7News) — A D.C. man was sentenced to nine years in federal prison in connection with a spree of armed carjackings and robberies in 2023, officials said.

Andre “Dre” Rushing, 23, pleaded guilty in March to carjacking and brandishing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence. He admitted to four separate carjackings and robberies that victimized six people, said U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro.
