Groundbreaking for new affordable housing near State Fairpark

SALT LAKE CITY – Construction is starting on new affordable housing near the Utah State Fairpark. The new apartments being built are meant to attract more families and young professionals downtown and make it more affordable.

It was announced that 110 apartments will soon be built at 915 W. North Temple. The builders, J.Fisher Companies, just held the groundbreaking late Wednesday morning.

The apartments going in are called “9th Note,” named for the city’s Note District. They’re described as having a design for future-forward living, offering a free public work space close to TRAX, mixing retail space on the street with spacious apartments above…
