City of Albany welcomes Valliscor expansion with groundbreaking of new campus

ALBANY, Ore. — The City of Albany is celebrating a major investment in the community as Valliscor broke ground Monday, August 18, on its new 12+ acre Ferry Street Campus. The state-of-the-art facility will support production of key etchants for the semiconductor industry — a sector vital to both Oregon and the U.S. economy.

The groundbreaking event at 2335–2435 SW Ferry Street brought together community leaders, industry partners, and company representatives to mark the start of construction. Attendees viewed project renderings, heard remarks from Valliscor leadership, and learned about the company’s plans for the new facility. The expansion is expected to create high-wage jobs and strengthen Albany’s role in the global semiconductor supply chain.

“The City of Albany is proud to support Valliscor’s decision to grow here,” said Mayor Alex Johnson II. “This project reflects the strength of our community as a place where businesses can innovate and thrive. In addition to bringing new, high-quality jobs, Valliscor’s investment will help jumpstart future development in the area.”…
