EUCLID, Ohio — City Council this week outlawed smoking and vaping on all public property, including in parks, pools and parking lots.
The legislation will go into effect in next month after council at its Monday meeting unanimously passed the legislation on first reading.
Councilman John Wojtila told his colleagues at the meeting that he introduced the ordinance after receiving complaints from residents about people lighting up in city parks. He saw that other communities like Rocky River had enacted similar bans in recent years and decided that Euclid should follow suit…
