Memorial placed at crash site for the two teen girls who died there

OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The teenagers who died in a crash Sunday are being remembered with a memorial at the crash site.

Exzonia Ann Smetana, a 19-year-old from Paw Paw, and Grace Kavanaugh, a 17-year-old from Kalamazoo, were both killed after Smentana lost control of the vehicle they were both in, causing it to crash into a traffic signal pole before it caught on fire, according to Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputies.
