JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The attorney representing Apna Bazar, an international grocery on Beach Boulevard, is breaking down new details about the store’s proposal to build a halal meat processing facility on its property.
Cyndy Trimmer is the lawyer working with the business. She explained this current proposal is different from the one pitched last year on Jacksonville’s Northside.
Though she was not working with the business at the time of the 2024 proposal, she remembers how the plans were abandoned after public outcry over concerns about the potential smells, sounds and sights of a meat processing facility.
