‘I’m happy to be free’: Hernandez Govan found not guilty in Young Dolph murder

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Hernandez Govan, the alleged mastermind in rapper Young Dolph’s murder, was found not guilty on all charges in court during day four of his trial Thursday morning.

Govan spoke with WREG crews after the verdict, thanking the jury, his family, and few friends who stuck by him and knew that he was innocent and didn’t “shy away from him.”

“Thank you to the jury for getting this right and getting my life back,” Govan said. “I knew in my heart I was innocent. Without God, I don’t even think I would have made it this far. I’m just happy to be free.”
