According to a university spokesperson, five University of Memphis students have had their Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) visas revoked.
According to ABC 24 News, a statement sent to them read, “We have been informed that five current University of Memphis students have had their SEVIS record terminated as of Wednesday, April 16. “Our Division of International Affairs is actively working with the impacted students in addition to advising all UofM international students on how to navigate and maintain their status.”
The students’ identities have not been revealed, and this is all the university will be commenting on at this time…
