RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A man is fighting for his life after police say they heard shots fired while executing a warrant at Belt Atlantic apartments on Wednesday morning.
At around 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20, officers with the Third Precinct, as well as the Richmond Police Department’s SWAT team, tried to execute a search warrant in the 4000 block of Midlothian Turnpike, as a result of an ongoing investigation.
According to police, officers “announced their presence as police” multiple times. A woman left the apartment shortly after, and when officers were outside, they heard gunshots from inside…
