Virginia opens first adult high school for state diplomas in Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Virginia’s first adult high school is preparing for the first day of school, welcoming students on Monday, August 25.

The Excel Center, located at Melrose Plaza, marks a historic milestone in the Commonwealth. This inaugural class will be the first adults in the Commonwealth to return to high school to earn a state-recognized diploma.
