SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — When it comes to hot summer weather and monsoon season in Southern California, it has been quiet, until now.
A heat dome over the Four Corners region is building and expanding which will crank up afternoon temperatures and allow for an influx of tropical moisture for the rest of this week.
Tuesday and Wednesday are the days we will start to feel the temperatures increase and continue increasing into the weekend. The clockwise circulation around the area of high pressure will draw in subtropical moisture from Baja California and Mexico and finally bring monsoon weather to the region.
