SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Over 1,000 International Paper workers will soon lose their jobs, according to an announcement by the company Thursday morning.
The company will close The Savannah Mill, Savannah Box Plant and the Riceboro Mill by the end of September. In a press release, International Paper called the decision a series of strategic changes to achieve an advantaged cost position.
