University of Tennessee at Chattanooga active shooter fears as campus in lock down

Police say there is ‘no active threat’ and could not find any victims as they raced to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga after receiving a report of shots fired in the library.

Reports of a possible active shooter the Chattanooga campus forced the campus into lockdown Thursday. The lockdown has since been lifted and students are allowed to leave.

University officials issued an emergency alert warning students after reports of gunfire near the University Center and library. “Run. Hide. Fight. More info forthcoming,” the alert said.
