CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — The Charleston Police Department will conduct traffic checkpoints in two areas of downtown Charleston on Thursday night as it continues to crack down on unsafe driving.
The safety checkpoints will be in place from 9 p.m. to midnight on Calhoun Street, near Courtney Street, and on Morrison Drive, near Blake Street.
People are asked to drive responsibly and plan ahead by having a designated driver, utilizing a ride share service, or calling a taxi…
