MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ohio (WKEF) — Montgomery County’s Animal Resource Center is preparing for a big adoption event relying on the community to help clear their kennels.
About a month ago, the Animal Resource Center announced it was reaching critical capacity. Since then, ARC Public Information Officer Kara Hamby said, “we have definitely had a lot of adoptions. We’re super thankful for our community really stepping up and helping us. We unfortunately are still over capacity.”
Receiving multiple calls about stray animals per day, Hamby said they’ve had to be very selective about which dogs need their help the most this summer. She said they’re hoping the community shows up in a big way this Saturday, freeing up space for them to continue their mission…
