Armed robbery suspects caught after police chase in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Baton Rouge Police Department has arrested three people in connection with an armed robbery that happened on Aug. 4 on Prescott Road.

The suspects, identified as Timothy Tyler Jr., Timothy Courtney, and Tniya Bass, were arrested following a police chase that ended at Pine Square Apartments.

Police said the victims were robbed at gunpoint after stopping their vehicle to retrieve a cellphone. The suspects emerged from a nearby house, demanded the victims exit the car and took their belongings before retreating into the home.

Bass was seen allowing the suspects into the house. Photographic lineups confirmed Tyler and Courtney as two of the offenders, police said.
