HOUSTON (KIAH) — Houston’s Mayor John Whitmire is ordering Houston Police Department (HPD) to work with HISD and METRO Police to strengthen traffic enforcement in the area.
Whitmire recently visited the intersection of Westheimer and Eastside Street near Lamar High School, where the student was hit.
More police will be out by the school for the rest of the week to keep kids safe from drivers. The mayor says the current crosswalk design is flawed…
