Caitlyn Lynch aspires to work as a school psychologist in the Madison area, near where she grew up in Waunakee. She likes the idea that school psychologists make sure every student has a right to an education, no matter the barriers they face.
“I think (that) is a really beautiful thing that we’re able to do,” said Lynch, a second-year graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
So, Lynch was disappointed to learn UW-Madison recently lost a federal grant to help her and other students become school psychologists. She started thinking about the kids she’s worked with in Madison and how this cut could affect them…
