LINCOLN, Neb. – John Cook has officially been introduced in his newest endeavor – General Manager of the Omaha Supernovas.
Stepping out of retirement just a few months after closing his chapter at Nebraska, Cook told reporters on Thursday he re-entered volleyball because he felt a sense of responsibility to the game he loves.
“I feel like I can still make a difference and I think I can help pro volleyball get going… And that’s what they sold me on,” Cook said. “They (Supernovas) are going to lead the way for professional volleyball. They’re already showing they can do that, so if I can help raise the level and get a really great league and do this right, I thought it was a good investment.”…
