SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Springfield Fire Department responded to a house fire on East Delmar in the Phelps Grove neighborhood.
Officers responded early Thursday morning, around 3:30.The Springfield Fire Department says there was a heavy fire in the back of the house, that units were able to put out.
The homeowner told Ozarks First’s crews on scene that everyone was able to get out of the house. The fire department says the one person in the home was outside by the time firefighters arrived.
East Delmar and parts of South Holland were blocked off for a time as firefighters extinguished the flames…
