Books, Bikes and Back to School at the Albuquerque Museum

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Third Thursday is back at the Albuquerque Museum on August 21, from 5 – 8 p.m. August’s event is celebrating the museum’s Open to All exhibition and the sub-theme is books, bikes and back to school.

The museum has a number of things for guests to enjoy during August’s event. In the museum’s Ventana Salon people can take advantage of a book giveaway, browse through bookmarks, meet a librarian, make your own bookmark and more. Guests will be able to view and test out a number of typewriters and enjoy a documentary screening on the Old Main Library. Outside the museum there will be a bike rodeo, giving kids age 7 – 11 a chance to practice safe bike riding skills. The museum is also holding a self-guided scavenger hunt so people can enjoy all things the museum has on display…
