LAKEMORE — Lakemore Village Council Aug. 18 approved a July 11 recommendation from the Planning Commission to create a new planned residential district (PRD-3) zoning classification for a roughly 60-acre parcel of property on Krumroy Road.
The property, a former limestone quarry, was previously zoned R-1A residential, allowing for two single-family residential units per acre. The new PRD-3 will allow for detached single-family dwellings, detached cluster single-family dwellings, attached single-family dwellings with no more than five units in each building and multi-family two-story buildings with no more than four units in one building.
The rezoning comes ahead of a planned Redwood Apartment Neighborhoods housing development on the site.
