Popular First Watch Restaurant in Lee County cited for 7 violations during inspection

First Watch Restaurant at 2059 Altamont Ave Ste 106 in Fort Myers, Lee County, received seven violations during a Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation inspection on August 15, 2025. The popular breakfast and brunch chain was issued a warning and required to undergo a follow-up inspection after inspectors found food safety infractions that posed risks to customers.

This Is What Happened During The Inspections

The inspection revealed four high-priority violations and three basic violations. High-priority infractions included multiple instances of temperature abuse with cold foods stored above the required 41 degrees Fahrenheit. Inspectors found cut tomatoes at 52 degrees, corn at 46 degrees, salsa at 48 degrees, roast beef at 50 degrees, and ham at 46 degrees in reach-in coolers across from the cook line.
