Dade County Citizen Seeking 100 Signatures To Recall Townsend.

One Dade County citizen has taken matters into his own hands and begun a recall against the county’s current County Executive, Don Townsend. Coy Williams, Jr., the owner of McBride’s Bookstore, and known throughout by his stage name, Bubba Que has filed a petition to recall our county executive because, according to Mr. Williams Jr., “they don’t care what the citizens want as long as the rich get richer and the poor get poorer! This “man” wants to steal $3 million from us.”

The Trenton Daily News spoke in person with Mr. Williams, Jr., today, where they verified that he had indeed gotten certified recall paperwork regarding County Executive Townsend today, Thursday, August 21, 2025, and he has already begun getting signatures from registered voters in Dade County.

We asked him why recalling the county executive is important to him, with his answer being, “I think it’s important because elected officials need to remember why and who they are elected for and who pays their salaries.”…
